The Enchanting Northern Lights

Canada’s Far North is famous for its incredible wilderness, wildlife, and the most breathtaking of all: the Northern Lights. Also known as the Aurora Borealis, this wondrous waltz of colours is a truly awe-inspiring sight, particularly during the winter.

With our Aurora Hunting tour, you will travel to multiple viewing spots (at least three locations), ensuring you get that perfect view of the polar lights. We are Aurora Hunting specialists and will help you catch that Aurora! Our tours are a unique and personal once-in-a-lifetime experience.

During this four-hour tour, hot tea, pop, and snacks will be provided for you. If desired, we would be happy to introduce you to Aurora photography.

In no time, we will have you capturing the beautiful subtleties, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Northern Lights (tripod required).

We will start by picking you up from your hotel at 10:00 PM, leaving the bright-lit streets of the city for the clear night skies of the wilderness. To ensure the best chances of catching the Aurora Borealis, we will travel to not just one pre-determined location but instead visit multiple different vantage points.

This will be the true, untamed North experience. There are no cabins, tents, or washrooms (though several outhouse options are on the way). Just the wilds, the skies, and the Aurora. Afterwards, we will be back at your hotel around 2:00 AM.

Please note: This tour is only available for groups of up to 10 guests on request.

Notice

While the northern lights are always in the night sky, their intensity is dependent on solar activity. Clear skies are also necessary in order to catch a perfect view of the mystical northern lights.

We will always strive to ensure our customers have the best possible experiences, but unfortunately, we have no power over the weather. Thus, we cannot always guarantee a successful Aurora Hunting mission.

Despite climate change, temperatures in the Canadian North can drop to -30C and colder. Choose adequate clothing (layers) and make sure to protect the uncovered parts of your body, especially your hands and face, when photographing.

Winter Rental Clothes are available upon request.
