A UNESCO World Heritage Site
Our exclusive Haines Junction and Kluane National Park Day Trip is an amazing opportunity to explore one of Canada’s most beautiful National Parks firsthand. Along the way, we’ll dive into the region’s rich history prior to European contact and the Klondike Gold Rush. Centuries may have passed since then, but you can still catch a glimpse of what it took to survive in the ancient Great North.
As we make our way down the Alaska Highway toward Kluane National Park, we will receive a scenic, awe-inspiring shot of the park’s mountains. Be ready! Along the way, we may encounter bears, deer or other wild animals on the side of the road, so keep a sharp eye out and have your camera ready for anything.
Once we arrive in Haines Junction, we will pay a visit to the Kluane National Park and Reserve Visitor Centre, a stunning, world-class building dedicated to artifacts, art, and digital displays about Kluane. After we’ve learned about the park and the largest non-polar ice field within it, we will take a small stroll along Kathleen Lake, within Kluane National Park, and enjoy the blissful, serene view of the park’s gorgeous mountains.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 a.m. and travel to Haines Junction and Kluane National Park on Alaska Highway. Throughout the trip, we will provide you with beverages, light snacks, and the opportunity to enjoy a tasty lunch in Haines Junction. As our journey ends, you will return to your Whitehorse hotel at around 5:30 p.m.
